Can I close my Scripbox account at any time? What happens to my investments?

Modified on Thu, 4 Jun at 3:17 PM

Your mutual fund investments are always held in your name with the respective mutual fund houses. This means that your investments remain yours regardless of whether you use the Scripbox platform.

However, Scripbox currently does not support account closure while there are active investment balances linked to the account.

If you wish to discontinue using Scripbox, the following options are available:

Option 1: Account Deactivation

We can deactivate your Scripbox account internally.

  • You will continue to have access to view your holdings.
  • You will not be able to transact or make changes through the Scripbox platform.
  • If you wish to redeem your investments in the future, you can contact Scripbox or the respective mutual fund house and follow the applicable process.

Option 2: Transfer Your Holdings

You may transfer your mutual fund folios to another broker or platform.

  • Your investments will stay with the respective fund houses.
  • Once all holdings have been transferred and there are no active balances linked to your Scripbox account, we can assist you with the account closure process.
