Things to be done by the customer before contacting us for the Name change :

1. Apply for the name change on the PAN card.

2. Once the new name is updated on the PAN card, the name in the bank records should be updated.

Documentation:

1. Name Change Request Letter (Manual form - which we share with the customer, customer has to download the form, sign on it (wet signature), and send it to us)

2. KYC form: Affix a photograph and sign across the photo and also sign on the first and second page in the given slot which states Applicant's esign and wet signature. The customer need not fill in any details, we do the needful as per the documents that the customer will share with us.

3. Bank Proof (either a cancelled cheque leaf/ bank statement) with new name mentioned on it

4. Self-attested and Notarised copy of the Address Proof with the new name mentioned on it.

Please note: If an Aadhar card copy is submitted as proof, we would need a color copy of the Aadhaar card where the QR code is visible

5. Self-attested and Notarised copy of the PAN card

6. If this is a post-marriage name change, then the customer must share the Marriage Certificate with the Notarisation.

7. Name Change Affidavit of Rs. 100/-

The customer is required to share the scanned copies for pre-verification. Once we confirm that the documents are good to be processed, then we inform the customer to share the physical copies to our office address mentioned below.

Office Address: Scripbox India Pvt Ltd Indiqube @ The Leela Galleria, 3rd Floor, No. 23, Old Airport Road, Bangalore- 560008

This usually takes 13-15 working days to update your new name in the KYC at KRA and once the name is updated in KYC, it will take another 7-10 working days to update your new name at the folios in which the customer was investing.

Once it is updated in KRA and folios, the name will be updated in the Scripbox dashboard

Note:

There might be additional documents required if any of the mutual fund houses requests for it (we must keep the customers posted in case if any).
